I will finally be continuing with my blog.

A lot has happened in the last 6+ years. I fell in love with my sweetheart from 30 years ago. Moved to Texas to be with him and got married.

I started a baking business and an Etsy shop where I sell my window decals, vinyl design t-shirts, handmade jewelry, cake toppers and more. I will soon be adding hair bows and canvas art.

I am so blessed to have a husband who not only tolerates my crafting and baking addictions but encourages me to enjoy what I do.

Potato Cheddar Soup

Oh so simple and oh so delicious.  All that is missing is some crusty Italian bread and a salad.

Double Chocolate Frosted Cookies

Alright, we all know that chocolate is my life, so these cookies just HAD to be made.  Yesterday I decided to make these cookies instead of making actual food. I ended up making them tiny one-bite sized, they are soft and yummy.  While reading the directions for the frosting I was confused, it didn't make sense to me on how these ingredients would thicken enough to frost cookies.  Well, I made it anyway, and sure enough, it didn't thicken.  I decided that maybe it is supposed to be more of a glaze, so I glazed some of them. After about half an hour they did dry, but I was so disappointed, I was looking forward to a real frosting.  I had some marshmallow fluff in the cupboard so I decided to make some into sandwich cookies...success.  I still have a lot of cookies left so I think I will melt some chocolate to make some more sandwich cookies and maybe use peanut butter for some others.

Pizza Meatballs need a recipe tweek

Finally, I made Pizza Meatballs.  Brandon loved them.  I was not happy with them for the fact that the mozzarella leaked out and the meatballs broke while cooking even though I tried to be really careful when stirring.  I'm not entering the recipe until I practice more and get it right.

And so it begins...

I decided yesterday that I would start a blog.  I have hundreds of recipes to try that I have collected over the years and the time just feels right.  When I told my son Ricky what I was doing he said "oh no, you're going to be one of them, one of those people who is constantly saying oh I have to blog this".  All I could do is laugh and say yup, that will be me.

I'm hoping to try at least one recipe per week from my collection... and away we go.
